Full list of power outages across Ireland as weather bomb set to batter the country

Storm Eunice has brought with it many issues from gale-force winds to lashings of rain and snow, with more on the way for some counties.

Extensive warnings have been published by health and safety bodies across Ireland as weather warnings have been upgraded to the highest alert status.

Schools across seven counties will remain shut tomorrow as Irish forecasters say the storm will bring significant risk to life as conditions are due to worsen.

There are many power cuts expected over the next 48 hours, and while hundreds of home power cuts have been resolved in recent hours, the east, south and midland counties continue to struggle with outages.

Eight areas are currently in darkness as ESB employees work to return power to the areas.

So if your electricity has cut off, here are the estimated times for a return according to ESB:

There are 137 customers in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow who are without power since 9:50 am this morning, and according to Powercheck it will be at least 7:00 pm before service resumes.

A further 71 customers in Wicklow are affected by the outages in the area of Ballybeg. They’ve been without electricity since 10:12 am and while service was due to resume at 4:00 pm, it seems it is still being worked on.

Twenty homes in Morristown, Co. Kildare have been without power since 2:45 pm today and will remain without until 5:00 pm this afternoon.

There are numerous areas in Dublin that are suffering without power including Lucan East, where 165 customers reported the power cut at 8:17 am and it’s due back by 5:00 pm.

Then in Templeogue, 204 customers have had no electricity since 2:05 pm with workers aiming to return it by 5:45 pm.

In Ballymount in Dublin, 131 customers have had none since 2:05 pm as well and will continue to be without until 5:45 pm.

Down south in Cloyne in Fermoy, eleven customers have been suffering through a power cut since 2:40 pm, however, an exact time for a return has yet to be confirmed.

68 customers in Portlaoise have not had electricity since 11:00 am this morning and will be waiting until around 7:00 pm this evening for a return.

Finally, for now, 18 customers in Boyle, Co. Longford have had no electricity since 3:42 pm and may not have it back until around 7:45 pm.
