Arsenal will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League for only the second time this season,
The Gunners are back in action three days after beating Chelsea to end a seven-game winless run in the competition as they take on a Brighton and Hove Albion side who they've struggled against in recent seasons.
It finished 2-1 to the Seagulls in both meetings last season, with the corresponding fixture proving to be a heated affair after Neal Maupay got under the skin of many Arsenal players.
With his side languishing in 15th place ahead of kick-off, Mikel Arteta has urged his side to build on their win against the Blues and start climbing the table.
"Absolutely. We mentioned earlier in the week that this is a really big week for us and we started the week in a really positive way," Arteta told reporters.
"Let's carry on.
"But we know how tough the Premier League is, and to win football matches is complicated.
"It doesn't matter where they are at the moment, it will be a fight and we have to be ready for that."
For this evening's game at the Amex Stadium, Arteta will be without as many six first-team players.
Sokratis and Mesut Ozil are ineligible having not been registered in the Premier League squad, while Thomas Partey is not expected to be ready to make his return to action just yet following a spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, Brazilian trio Gabriel Magalhaes, Willian, and David Luiz are also unavailable for COVID-19 related reasons.
With that said, captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is available and fresh after being an unused substitute against Chelsea which allows Arteta to rotate his squad.
