Fulham player ratings vs Aston Villa: Denis Odoi struggles as Scott Parker's side lose big

Alphonse Areola Not much the loanee could have done to keep the goals out but neither did he make any standout saves. 4

Kenny Tete Found Mitrovic with a good cross from the right but the second goal came from a throw-in on his wing and he was taken off before the break with a left calf injury. 4

Denis Odoi Lost the run of Grealish for the Villa captain's early goal and also allowed Ollie Watkins to receive the throw that led to the second goal. Such a lack of alertness will always be punished. Booked for the foul that led to Villa's third and Grealish gave him nightmares all evening. 3

Michael Hector Too slow, too sloppy. A player who has waited years to reach the Premier League needs rapid improvement to last in the top flight. Subbed before the hour. 4

Tim Ream Turned too easily by McGinn in lead up to Conor Hourihane's goal and lost Mings for the third goal. 4

Joe Bryan Poor clearance led to Villa breaking the deadlock. Went close in injury time with a goalbound effort that Emi Martinez tipped on to the bar. 4

Frank Andre Zambo-Anguissa Failed to dictate tempo in central midfield. Had a shot blocked with the result a foregone conclusion. 4

Tom Cairney Harshly booked for obstructing McGinn when trying to get out of the way. Worked hard but little end product. 5

Ivan Cavaleiro Delivered a couple of good crosses from the left inside the opening minute. Sent a long-range attempt high and wide. 5

Aleksandar Mitrovic The Serbian had plenty of half-chances but few clearcut, most notably a header saved by Martinez in the 11th minute and sent another half-chance wide midway through the opening half. 5

Bobby Decordova-Reid Found the net when tapping in after Martinez's parry but it was ruled out by VAR after a Mitrovic foul. Booked for dissent in the first half. 5

Substitutes

Aboubakar Kamara (for Tete 38) Not much impact, a couple of clumsy tackles aside. Booked in added time for dissent. 4

Maxime Le Marchand (for Hector 58) Booked trying to stop a counterattack eight minutes after coming on. 4

Neeskens Kebano (for Decordova-Reid 78) N/A
