Fulham and Wolves weigh up bids for Everton target Abdoulaye Doucoure

Everton are the favourites to sign Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure - but Fulham and Wolves could provide late competition.

The Toffees are long-term admires of the Frenchman, who is ready to leave Vicarage Road this summer after Watford were relegated.

Everton have already failed with an opening bid for Doucoure, but they are expected to return for him.

Watford are ready to do a deal for the 27-year-old, but they want an initial £25million up front to sanction a sale.

Everton are the clear frontrunners for Doucoure due to their long-standing interest, however they may face late competition.

Fulham and Wolves are understood to be keen on the midfielder as well, who is determined to stay in the Premier League.

Doucoure had been attracting interest from clubs in his native France, but his preference is to carry on playing in England’s top flight.

Everton are expected to bid again for him and Watford are awaiting their offer.
