'From rock bottom to Wembley' - Former Bristol City full-back Andy Llewellyn looks back on a decade of huge change at Ashton Gate

The latest edition of The Subs Bench has landed.

The popular Made In Bristol show  has arrived on Bristol Live with Richard Latham and Nigel Turner interviewing a host of former Bristol City and Bristol Rovers players from across the generations.

Former Robins full-back Andy Llewellyn sits down with Richard and Nigel this week to discuss his fascinating rise in the game as he made his debut for the club with City 92nd in the league pyramid.

'We have to turn around our current form - we know it's possible and the players and fans have to believe'

The former boot boy was thrust into first-team duties in 1982 due to the lack of resources available to manager Terry Cooper in the wake of financial hardship and the Ashton Gate Eight but soon made the right-back berth his own over 12 memorable years as the team rose back through the leagues, featuring FA Cup shocks and two Wembley appearances.

Llewellyn talks about the influence of Cooper, some of his favourite teammates and opponents and why that magical win over Liverpool in 1994 remains somewhat bittersweet.
