FriendsFest announces Bristol event is not cancelled and will be rescheduled

FriendsFest has announced its event in Bristol will not be cancelled, but instead it is just postponed and will take place at a later date.

The popular festival celebrating all things Joey, Chandler, Ross, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe was set to take place between July 17-26 at the Blaise Castle Estate but due to the coronavirus outbreak, has been postponed.

While a new date has been found for the London event, discussions are ongoing for when the Bristol dates could be rescheduled for but rest assured, Friends fans will still have to chance to get involved in their favourite sitcom.

A spokesman for the festival said: "We are working closely with Bristol City Council to confirm new dates for the FriendsFest run there.

"All guests who have previously booked tickets for either Bristol or London will be contacted with their new booking details directly. Should you find that you cannot make the new date/time, we will move your ticket to another date/time, or, if there are no other times that are suitable, you can opt for a refund.

"The safety of our guests is paramount and we will continue to closely monitor public health guidelines related to this matter."

Coronavirus cases are now at an all time high in Bristol, with 51 people in the City now infected with the virus, so it will come as no surprise that the event has been postponed.

At the event, fans can take tours of the famous apartments as well as dress up in some of the most memorable costumes from the show, which reached 236 episodes, ending in 2004.

There will also be a Friends themed interactive quiz, as well as Friends themed food and drink and episode streamed throughout the day.
