Free agent striker weighing up transfer 'offers' amid Nottingham Forest link

Nottingham Forest-linked striker Milan Djuric is said to have offers on the table as he weighs up his future.

Boss Steve Cooper will look to add to his attacking options this summer, ready for making the step up to the Premier League in the upcoming season. And the Reds are among a number of clubs credited with an interest in the Salernitana forward.

The Italian outfit have now put fresh terms on the table, ahead of Djuric’s contract expiring at the end of this month, as they try to hang on to the forward. But it is said he also has moves elsewhere to consider, amid no shortage of suitors.

Turkish newspaper Fanatik report Besiktas have put forward an offer. And they also claim two English clubs have done the same.

In addition to Forest, Djuric had also been linked with fellow top-flight side Brentford, along with Fiorentina. Tutto Salernitana say Bologna and Sampdoria have now added their names to his list of admirers.

The Italian news outlet adds the 32-year-old “wants to stay” with Salernitana “but knows this is the last important contract of his career”. It is suggested there is “some difference” between what the club are willing to offer and the deal the front man wants.

Djuric has had a taste of English football before, with Bristol City. He scored five goals in 31 games for the Robins between January 2017 and the summer of 2018.

The summer transfer window officially opens on Friday (June 10). It is set to be a busy one at the City Ground, with a number of incomings and outgoings expected.
