Freddy Brazier being treated in hospital after he's bitten by pocket bully Pablo

Freddy Brazier is currently being treated in hospital after being bitten by his dog, a pocket bully, on Monday night.

The youngest son of presenter Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, Freddy, 21, was reportedly at home with his maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden when he was bitten by his dog Pablo.

A spokesperson confirmed to the Standard: “Freddy is currently being treated, we will keep everyone updated on his recovery.”

A source told The Sun that new dad Freddy was left in “a lot of pain” and in need of stitches after being “savagely attacked” by the dog.

Freddy, who appeared on Celebrity Race Across The World alongside his dad in 2024, got Pablo last summer. Pablo is a pocket bully, a term used to refer to smaller dogs that are similar to pit bull terriers or XL bully dogs.

Both breeds of dog are on the government’s list of banned dog breeds; the XL bully was added to the list in a 2024 in move met with backlash from owners of the breed.

In May, the Daily Mirror reported that dog breeders were getting around the ban by breeding miniature “pocket bully” dogs, which the publication said could be just as vicious despite their size.

The younger brother of EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing star and model Bobby Brazier, Freddy was raised by dad Jeff following Big Brother star Jade’s death of cervical cancer in 2009.

The 21-year-old, who has struggled in the past with mental health problems and addiction, currently lives with Goody’s mother Jackiey in London, and in March announced the birth of his baby daughter Isla with on-off girlfriend Holly Swinburn, 22.

While the frosty relationship between Budden and Jeff has seen Freddy grow further away from his father in recent years, the birth of his daughter is said to have brought the family close together once more.

“I feel like I’ve given back to my dad for everything that he’s done for me in some ways,” he told The Sun earlier this month. “Little baby, Isla, that’s priceless, and that’s the best gift I’ve ever given to him, so it’s nice.”

Freddy has his daughter’s name tattooed on the back of his neck, and said that his daughter looked like a “beautiful” combination of the whole family.
