Frantic family of missing Paisley man issue plea to help trace him

The family of a missing man have issued a plea to help find him after he did not return home after missing the last train back to Paisley.

Vulnerable Aaron Simpson, 22, was last seen late on Thursday evening leaving Mount Florida train station.

His sister Lisa Thompson made an urgent plea to help find her brother, who she says has mental health issues and is in a "vulnerable state of mind".

She described him as around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, and says he speaks with an English accent.

"My brother Aaron Simpson, 22, hasn't been seen since last night [Thursday] at 10.50pm, leaving Mount Florida train station in Glasgow after realising he missed the last train as he was heading home to Paisley.

"He could be anywhere around the Glasgow and Paisley areas.

"He is in vulnerable state of mind as he has mental health problems.

"He has an English accent and is around 5ft5/6 in and of slim build.

"If anyone has seen him or has any information please message me or contact Police Scotland on 101."

Police Scotland  spokeswoman said: "Aaron is still currently missing and enquiries are ongoing to try and trace his whereabouts.

"We would ask anyone with any information to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1212 of Friday, 1 May, 2020."
