Frank Sinatra tribute artist claims 'daddy's girl' Nancy Sinatra 'tolerates him'

A Frank Sinatra tribute act has claimed that Nancy Sinatra "tolerates" him because she's a "daddy's girl".

Stephen Triffitt is widely regarded as the master of his craft both here and in the US, with the Frank Sinatra tribute act gearing up for one night only performance in London next month.

The singer, who croons just like legendary entertainer Ol' Blue Eyes, will perform songs from the iconic Frank Sinatra album, Songs for Swingin’ Lovers! on Sunday June 11, 2023 at Chelsea's iconic Cadogan Hall.

Ahead of his performance, Stephen sat down with Mirror US to chat about his rise to stardom, what it's like to perform for the likes of Bob Geldof and Simon Cowell, and how it feels to know that Frank Sinatra's son regarded you as "the best".

Sitting down for a chat with us a matter of weeks before stepping on the stage in Cadogan Hall, Stephen spoke of how Frank Sinatra's son Frank Sinatra Jr once spoke highly of him.

Prior to his passing in 2016, Frank Jr gushed to one of Stephen's pals: "Stephen Triffitt is the best. The greatest. Because he captures the soul of my father," something Stephen didn't find out until he had died.

"I didn't know that until after he died," Stephen told us about what Frank's son had once said of him.

He then spoke of how he has met two of Frank's children, adding: "I met Tina when I was in LA doing a show. She came backstage and said 'hi, I'm Tina, I'm your daughter,' a little strange because you're older than I am love, but fine.

"And well, I never got to meet Frank Jr, so you know, it's nice that he thought that much of me."

Stephen then spilled: "Nancy Sinatra, I think tolerates me."

"Well, she's really, really a daddy's girl and is the one that fights for all of the rights of the Sinatra stuff."

He added: "At one point everything Frank was pulled off YouTube, and that was down to her, and all of that.

"She's the one behind all of the Sinatra shows that go out."

The legendary singer, who died in 1998, had three children with his first wife, Nancy Barbato.

Throughout their marriage they welcomed Nancy Sinatra who was born in June 1940; Frank Sinatra Jr. who was born in January 1944 but sadly died in March 2016, and Christina "Tina" Sinatra who was born in June 1948.

Tickets to see Frank Sinatra’s Songs for Swingin’ Lovers! are on sale now and can be purchased through the Cadogan Hall website.
