France has changed its travel rules again as China battles a nationwide outbreak of coronavirus.
In August 2022, COVID-19 travel restrictions for travellers to France were lifted. Travellers were no longer required to present proof of vaccination, fill out any forms prior to arrival in France, such as a justification for travel or a sworn statement or show proof of a negative PCR or antigen test upon arrival in France
This also applied to travel between metropolitan France and each of the French overseas territories. Similarly, no travel justification were required by the French authorities to travel to another country from France.

All positive samples will be subject to systematic sequencing for epidemiological surveillance purposes. The same goes for travel between mainland France and each of the overseas territories.
Likewise, it is recommended travellers who plan to go to China to postpone their trip, in the absence of an essential reason, especially for fragile and immunocompromised people. for travellers who could not postpone their trip, to have a complete and up-to-date vaccination schedule against Covid-19.
