Four more people have died in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus, according to the Department of Health.
A total of 41,433 people have now died, while a further 853 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 57,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
As of 4pm on Monday, August 24, a total of 326,614 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the UK.
And there are currently 834 patients in hospital receiving treatment for the virus.
NHS England said on Monday that a further three people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29,500.
The patients were aged between 73 and 87, and all had known underlying health conditions.
No deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
Public Health Wales said another person has died having tested positive for coronavirus, bringing its total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,593.
The number of cases of Covid-19 in Wales increased by 19, bringing the revised confirmed total to 17,746.
In Scotland, there has been a further 66 cases of coronavirus recorded, with no new deaths.
