Four in a Bed host 'devastated' by feedback amid complaint - before unexpected turn

A host on Four in a Bed was "devastated" by feedback received from one of their guests following their stay, though the hosts were in for a surprise shortly afterwards.

The latest episode of the Channel 4 show - which aired on Tuesday (March 14) - showcased the The Shuckburgh Arms in Northamptonshire, run by couple Georgia and Paul.

Among their guests were couple Michael and Danielle. They however weren't able to both stay at the property due to a lack of space at the converted barns available on site.

It meant that Michael ended up staying alone for the night. He was hosted in a single room at the property - priced at £65 per night - which included a mini fridge.

The appliance however proved to be a bit of an issue for Michael during the night, as he explained to wife Danielle the following morning that it had been quite noisy.

This was mentioned in his feedback. When asked how he had slept, Michael said: "Slept well, good firm mattress. Rattly fridge, only used one pillow, as other stained."

He gave a score of 8 out of 10 in that category. Upon reading the rating, host Paul said he was "devastated" by it. His partner Georgia was seen laughing in response.

She suspected the feedback had come from Michael, saying: "I did have an issue with that fridge." Paul added: "If it's whirring away all night, it would keep him up awake. Sorry, Michael."

They went on to receive another critique from Michael, who gave them 9 out of 10 for breakfast. His feedback for that included that he would have liked "better coffee choices".

Georgia responded: "We do [have them], we just didn’t say." Paul then suggested: "Maybe we need to put the coffee options on the bottom of the menu?"

Things ended on a high for the Georgia and Paul though, who weren't sure that Michael would want to return to The Shuckburgh Arms following his overnight stay.

Paul was 'devastated' by one aspect of the feedback but ended up 'over the moon' overall (Channel 4)

Michael - like the other guests in the episode - however said on the feedback that he would stay again, which seemed to surprise Georgia. She exclaimed: "Oh wow".

The hosts high-fived each other after such feedback, with Paul teasing about the competition: "Over the moon with [the feedback], the game's wide open, bring it on."

Four in a Bed airs weekdays on Channel 4 and All4 from 5pm.
