Fortnite weekly challenges: Where to find a Crash Pad

Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 3 is almost drawing to a close, but there’s still time for just a couple more rounds of challenges. There’s been a lot of big crossover events this season, and we’re getting a bit of a round-up of all the wildest features that have been added for this week’s challenges. As usual, each of these challenges will earn you 15k XP for completing them, and you have until the end of the season to do so, which isn’t long now.

You check out last week’s challenges in our guide, or if you’ve been out of the Fortnite loop for a while, you can check out what’s new in Chapter 3 Season 3.

Bounce off a Crash Pad and fall for nine stories or more

Crash Pads are designed to allow people to fall long distances safely, so why the ones in Fortnite are so bouncy is unclear. Either way, you can find one anywhere items can be found, then your best bet is to build upwards as high as you can, put your Crash Pad down on a little platform, bounce off it, and fall towards the ground. It’s probably best to land in water.

Catch or collect a Zero Point fish

The Zero Point is the strange object upon which the Fortnite multiverse centres. We refuse to elaborate further on that point, but the important thing is that fishing near it lets you catch weird fish. You just need to find a fishing rod and head to Loot Lake, where the Zero Point currently resides. If you fish enough times you’ll find a Zero Point fish in no time. Fun fact, if you eat one of these fish, it will let you teleport short distances for a few seconds.

Damage enemy players from within five meters or less

It doesn’t matter what you use to do it, you’ve just got to find a way to get right up in an opponent’s face and take them down. Just running up to them in a firefight probably won’t work, so try and strategically place structures to try and get as close as you can.

Destroy structures with the Kamehameha

Capsule Corp just loves causing mayhem on the Fortnite island it seems, and now it’s time for you to wreck everything you see by unleashing the power of the Kamehameha. If you’re struggling to get your hands on one, then check out our guide for Kamehameha locations.

Eliminate enemy players at three named locations

Pick a location, any location. If it’s got a name on the map then it’ll count for this challenge. If you still have unexplored areas on the map, then any location with question marks over it will also be a named location should you finish. Killing enemies there is slightly tricker, but you can check out our beginner tips for Fortnite if you’re struggling.

Pick up items while sliding

We have a guide on how to slide, but it’s very simple to do. The easiest way to fulfill this challenge is to open a chest and then slide at the loot that pours out while spamming the collect button to pick it all up.

Use a Launch Pad at Loot Lake and at the Rave Cave

Launch Pads are very easy to spot once you know what you’re looking for. They have a bright lime green rim and are splattered with an “X” on the main pad, so they’re hard to miss. The one at Loot Lake is on one of the piers, while the one at the Rave Cave is a little harder to find. If you go to the top of the mountain, where the giant teddy bear head is, go off one of the sides and you’ll see the Launch Pad on one of the platforms where the pillars of the rollercoaster rest.
