Formula One Autocentres to launch new Birmingham base

A new autocentre is opening in Birmingham this week.

Formula One Autocentres, which offers vehicle servicing and MOT tests, will launch the new site in Stirchley on Thursday.

The new base will create ten full-time jobs at the previously vacant site in Pershore Road.

The family-owned company, which is headquartered in Stevenage, has been in operation since 1969 and has more than 120 branches across England including 14 in the West Midlands.

Digital director Simon Jennings said: "We knew there was a huge demand for our services in the area.

"We have invested a lot into this site and are really proud to be able to create employment for the talented mechanics and back-office staff which will be needed to run this garage to the highest of standards."
