Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes Manchester United should replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine was sacked by Spurs on Tuesday night after a poor start to the season, with the north London club 20 points behind leaders Liverpool in the table.
But despite his sacking, Pochettino has been linked with a swift return to management, with Bayern Munich believed to be keen as they search for their next permanent boss.
The former Southampton manager has also been linked with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain over the past couple of seasons, as well as Manchester United following Jose Mourinho’s sacking in December.
And O’Hara believes Pochettino is more likely to stay in the Premier League than head to Europe - and has urged United to appoint the former Spurs man straight away.

“I think Poch is taking over at Man United,” O’Hara told talkSPORT on Friday morning.
“I like Ole, he’s done a great job and he’s steadied the ship.
“But I’d get Pochettino in straight away. Straight. Away.
“You’ve got one of the best managers in the world currently available for nothing.
“I would get him in now, get his feet under the table and move Ole into a director of football role if he wants it.”
Before O’Hara added: “Has he had the squad and backing to win something? That’s what you’ve got to look at it.
“What he’s done is he has built a football club. We [Spurs] would never have been able to get Mourinho if it wasn’t for Poch coming in and building the club to where it is now.
“I think if he went to Man United, that’s the statement: ‘We’ve got Poch and we’re going to win things with him’.”
