Former Sunderland coach linked with Sam Allardyce reunion at West Brom

Former Sunderland first team coach Robbie Stockdale is being linked with a return to the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion.

Stockdale is reportedly linking up with new Baggies manager Sam Allardyce at the Hawthorns.

The 41-year-old was part of Big Sam’s coaching team while at the Stadium of Light.

Jon Percy of the Telegraph claims that Stockdale is expected to join ahead of their weekend derby with Aston Villa.

Stockdale joined the Black Cats in 2012 as part of the youth setup and had a number of stints as caretaker manager of the Black Cats.

He was appointed assistant manager of Hibernian in January 2019, working with Paul Heckingbottom at the Hibees until the duo were sacked in November 2019.
