Former Steeler Le’Veon Bell robbed of over $500,000 in jewelry

It’s been a weird offseason for New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell. If you aren’t interested in news about the former Pittsburgh Steelers running back just move on. But if you are interested, ESPN NFL report Adam Schefter is reported Bell was robbed of $520,000 in jewelry but two females described as girlfriends in the police report.

Bell and the Steelers had a tumultuous relationship over the past two seasons. Bell played on the franchise tag in 2017 under protest after he and the Steelers couldn’t agree on a long-term contract.

The two sides tried again in vain to work out a deal and Pittsburgh was prepared to franchise him for a second straight season. But Bell chose to sit out the entire 2018 season and forfeit his salary. Bell signed a four-year, $52 million contract with New York at the start of free agency.
