It seems it hasn’t taken long for Le’Veon Bell’s new fanbase to start asking the same questions his old one did. The former Pittsburgh Steelers running back was always the target of criticism from Steelers fans for the amount of time he dedicated to his budding rap career. Now based on Bell’s latest tirade on Instagram, New York Jets fans are starting to grumble about it as well. Bell shared a couple of videos attempting to make his case.
Bell tried to use an example of a Target employee not thinking about working at Target when they are off the clock. But the comparison doesn’t really fit when it comes to a second career. If you spend too much time on job number two, you might not be able to do job number one as well. This is true of any of us who have had to work multiple jobs. If you don’t find balance, both jobs will suffer.
With Bell it’s all about production. Once he shows up and starts playing, Jets fans aren’t going to care about his extracurricular activities as long as he’s producing on Sunday. He is never going to slow down his other pursuits especially after signing this new contract so New York fans need to just get used to this.
