Arsenal used one of their Get Out Of Jail Free cards on Sunday.
The Gunners, down to 10 men, looked to be heading for defeat against struggling Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
And, having blown a 2-0 lead at struggling Watford te previous week, pressure would have been heaped on head coach Unai Emery.
But late goals from Calum Chambers and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured a much-needed three points.
Aubameyang was the hero of the hour, striking home a free-kick with six minutes to go, but he could have had a brace on the day.
Arsenal's first goal was scored by £72million record signing Nicolas Pepe from the penalty spot. Gabon striker Aubameyang would normally take the penalties, but with Pepe having an incredible record from 12 yards, and having not scored yet in Arsenal colours, Aubameyang let Pepe take it.
And even though Pepe scored, the decision to hand him the ball left a former Tottenham man incredulous.
Tim Sherwood, speaking to Premier League Productions was aghast.
He said: "I'm not happy with it. Stick to the plan, you are the penalty taker, stick to the plan.
"You’re not a pub team, you’re not in the Sunday League where you think ‘I’m going to help my mate out, you can take this one because I’ve scored a few goals this year’.
"You’re behind in the game, you need that goal. Stick to the plan, the plan is on the board - Aubameyang takes penalties.
"And all of a sudden he just says to his mate ‘go on you have a go this time’.
"Unless he didn’t fancy it for whatever reason but don’t just give it to him because you want to give him a leg up and go on and get his career started at Arsenal - put the ball in the back of the net, let him create his own chances.
“Not a chance [Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero would do that]. I don’t want nice men, I want winners."
