Former Manchester United 'target' Konrad Laimer 'open' to Premier League move and more transfer rumours

RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer is ready to listen to Premier League offers in 2023 after failing to secure a move to Bayern Munich in the summer, as per reports.

According to 90min, the Reds were interested in a move for the 25-year-old earlier this year, but the Austrian star was desperate to move to the Bundesliga giants. However, Bayern backed away from a move for the player and the deal collapsed.

According to the report, Laimer and his representatives are open to a transfer to the Premier League, with United's rivals Liverpool thought to also be monitoring his situation.

While the Reds were keen on the midfielder in the summer, the arrival of Casemiro late in the transfer window could mean Erik ten Hag opts against making an approach for Laimer. The Austrian, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, is expected to be fit in time for the World Cup.

Elsewhere, a report from Turkey has astonishingly claimed that United striker Anthony Martial has been offered to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce by his agent.

As per Fanatik, the Frenchman's representatives are said to have contacted Fenerbahce regarding his availability in the upcoming transfer window.

Martial has reportedly been identified as one of the Turkish club's main targets in January, despite the France international - who has registered five goal contributions in three matches - being under contract at Old Trafford until 2024.

Despite the report linking Martial with a move away from the club, it is highly unlikely that the former Monaco man will leave United in January, or at any point next year. Ten Hag is a huge fan of the forward and he remains a big part of the club's plans.
