Former Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo back in football as OSK Sepsi boss

Former Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo is back in football as manager of Romanian outfit OSK Sepsi.

The 55-year-old was confirmed as the club’s new manager at a press conference today.

It’s the first job the ex-Lithuania national coach has had since leaving Dundee Utd in September last year, when he was replaced by his former Hearts captain Robbie Neilson.

Laszlo’s only full season in charge at Tynecastle was a successful one. He guided the Jambos to a third placed finish and European football, earning the Scottish Football Writer’s Association’s Manager of the Year Award.

His second season did not go to plan, and he was sacked after a 3-0 home defeat to Aberdeen in January 2010. Club legend and Scottish Cup winning boss replaced Lazslo.

He returned to Scotland eight years later, this time pitching up at Tannadice with Dundee Utd to continue what has become a theme of ex-Hearts managers ending up in the City of Discovery.

He lead the Arabs to a third placed finish in the Championship, but they were knocked out of the play-off semi-final by Livingston, who went on to win promotion.

A 5-1 home defeat to Ross County the following season cost Laszlo his job.
