Former Celtic chief executive Dom McKay has broken his silence on his shock Celtic exit, but still refused to reveal the full story behind his abrupt departure.

Despite the circumstances of his exit, McKay struck a positive tone when reflecting on his time at the club. “I loved my time at Celtic,” he said. “I had a great summer there. We did, as a team, both on and off the field, some great work.
“I look back with enormous pride. It was really great to see them go on and have success, and I enjoyed that success as a fan.”
Pressed on whether there had been any fallout behind the scenes, McKay was unequivocal. “No, I didn’t fall out with anybody,” he said.
“As I said, it was just private and personal reasons for me.”
