'Forgot we had Jason Cummings' - Nottingham Forest fans react to Scotland international's goal

There were mixed responses from fans to Jason Cummings' rare goal in the red of Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

The Scotland international poked Forest’s Under-23s in front at Mansfield Town after good work from strike partner Daryl Murphy.

It wasn’t enough for Jimmy Gilligan’s side however, as a fightback from the hosts saw them come from behind to win 2-1.

For Cummings, though, it was another run out in the Under-23s as he looks to maintain his fitness in the hope of earning a move away from the City Ground this summer.

His future looks almost certain to be away from the club under new manager Sabri Lamouchi, along with Murphy, Zach Clough, Liam Bridcutt and Gboly Ariyibi.

Since moving from Hibernian, Cummings has played just 17 times, scoring three times and hasn't played a senior Forest game since December 2017, spending loans spells at Rangers, Peterborough and Luton Town.

It’s expected Cummings will be involved again on Monday night when a Forest XI travel to Sincil Bank to face Lincoln City.

Here’s what Reds fans have been saying…

“With a side that features Jason Cummings. Whenever people rave about Warburton’s eye for a player, they should be forced to stare at a picture of him for an hour,” wrote one Twitter user.
