Forget feta pasta, the internet's obsessed with pasta chips now - and they look so good

Call me basic if you please, but I really love pasta. I'd eat it morning, noon and night if I could.

So when I heard there was a new pasta food trend taking over TikTok, I knew I was going to have to try it.

But if I want to give it a go, it seems I'm going to have to invest in one essential kitchen gadget - an air fryer.

The latest foodie craze is pasta chips (or crisps, if you prefer) and it involves cooking pasta and adding some olive oil, seasoning and parmesan cheese, before sticking the whole thing into an air fryer for 10 minutes to let it crisp up.

Popular TikTok user Yumna, who posts under @feelgoodfoodie recently jumped on the pasta chips bandwagon and shared a tutorial with her 1.1million followers.

She said: "I just tried the trending pasta chips and they're worth all the hype.

"Start by cooking pasta and mixing it with olive oil, parmesan cheese and spices. Air fry at 400F for 10 minutes, tossing halfway through."

The food lover goes on to say that she served her pasta chips with a whipped feta dip, but you could use just about anything you fancy - other TikTokers have served theirs with pesto and marinara sauce.

Yumna captioned her video: "Pasta chips are my new favourite chips! They're so good and make the best appetizer!"

She added that those without an air fryer could still give the recipe a go, by baking in the oven at 400F (200C) for 20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through - but sadly, they won't come out as crispy.

Her video has since been viewed over 7million times, garnering over 903,000 likes.

Many people also took the time to comment and share their thoughts.

One person said: "I keep seeing these! I def need to try."

Another wrote: "As an Italian, I don't know how to feel about this."

"These look amazing," replied a third.

Someone else added: "I'm boiling my water!!! OMG!!"
