Forensics are carrying out investigations at a house in Oldham after a man was arrested at a London train station for 'holding a woman against her will'.
Greater Manchester Police were alerted to the incident at around 2.30pm yesterday (Sunday).
A woman had reportedly been held against her will, police said.
The male suspect had left the scene, but officers from Oldham CID believed he was on a train to London.

He was later arrested by Metropolitan Police at Charing Cross train station.
The suspect is now in custody.
He will be questioned on suspicion of false imprisonment and section 18 assault.
Officers are now carrying out an investigation at a property on Ashton Road East in Oldham.
Police officers and forensic investigators were pictured at the scene yesterday.
Chief Superintendent Chris Bowen, GMP's Oldham district commander, said: "Thanks to the quick work of our CID branch, and the assistance of our colleagues at the Metropolitan Police, a potentially dangerous suspect is in custody."
