Forbes praises London’s next generation of business stars

A host of London-based entrepreneurs were on Tuesday named in Forbes magazine’s influential 30 under 30 Europe list.

Millennials were put into 10 categories, each featuring 30 people, that celebrated leaders in sectors such as finance, tech, retail and manufacturing.

Brits that made the cut included 29-year-old Phoebe Hugh, founder of start-up Brolly, which offers an app that helps customers manage and buy insurance products.

Another 29-year-old featured is Francesca Warner, who co-founded non-profit business Diversity VC in 2017. It promotes diversity and inclusion in the venture-capital sector.

Among numerous other London-based founders featured was Brixton-born Samuel Ross, the 27-year-old designer whose fashion label A-Cold-Wall is stocked by retailers such as Selfridges.

Alex Wood, Europe editor at Forbes, said: “We’ve searched throughout Europe to identify 300 of the most revolutionary entrepreneurs, innovators and disruptors in ten diverse sectors, who are changing the game throughout the region and across the globe.”
