For the record

A captioning error in a picture illustrating an article about the impact of coronavirus (“How much of the fabric of a city’s life can you take away before things fall apart?”, 22 March, page 6) suggested someone was panic-buying; in fact the person was restocking a shop.

We dropped the ball when we referred to the cricket author Sir Home Gordon as Sir Gordon Home (“Cricket has lost the national role it had in 1939 but it’s still far more than a game”, 22 March, page 12, Sport).
