Football Weekly: sour grapes from sore Spain after England defeat

It's a special commemorative edition of Football Weekly for you this week, yours to keep after England, somehow, beat the reigning world and European champions, despite hardly touching the ball. Juan Carlos, Pedro Almodovar, Las Ketchup - your boys took one hell of a beating.

AC Jimbo has Paul MacInnes and Gregg Roughley in the pod beating their bare chests, while Sid Lowe gives us the view from Spain, and Rafa Honigstein offers some cool-headed and suitably Teutonic detachment.

(Actually, everyone above fully expects Capello's lot to return to their usual shambles against Sweden).

Elsewhere in the show, Evan Fanning pops in to hail Il Trap after Ireland's 4-0 battering of (useless) Estonia; we enthuse over plucky Wales; and find out why you can say boo to a Guus, especially if you're Turkish.

See you for more fun and games on Thursday, when Amy Lawrence will be among our number.
