Footage shows man scaling down Dublin flats to avoid Gardai as 'aggressive teen' arrested

Footage has emerged showing a man scaling down the side of a set of Dublin flats as Gardai entered a building yesterday evening.

The video was filmed around the same time that an "aggressive" teen was arrested by officers at Oliver Bond Street flats on Tuesday.

The arrested man was asked to leave the premises by Gardai but refused to comply and became aggressive towards officers.

He was arrested at the scene and was subsequently charged for breaching the public order act.

Observers of the scene got a laugh when Gardai entered the flats complex at the same time of the scaling balcony mystery figure.

The video starts off by showing two officers entering the flats where a young man can be visibly seen by them on a first floor apartment.

The minute the last Garda disappears through the entrance, the young man can be seen hopping over the balcony and scaling down the wall.

The runner looks back as he makes a break for it out the gate.

One Garda rushes back out to see what the commotion is over but turns and heads back in when he spots the person mid-run.

A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "A man, aged 19 years, was arrested in the area of the Oliver Bond Street, Dublin 8, on 24/11/20 at approximately 4:25pm for breaches of the public order act.

"He was asked to leave the area but refused and became aggressive and arrested."

He added: "He was detained at Kevin Street GARDA Station and has since been charged."
