Footage captured the moment a lorry exploded leading to a "massive fireball" being thrown into the air.
Two fire engines were called after the lorry went up in flames. Crews from the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) were called to North Road, Ellesmere Port, at noon yesterday (Wednesday, October 26), after a van caught fire. Witnesses said they heard two explosions from the vehicle, which "rattled" a nearby building windows and sent "a massive fireball into the air."
Charles Sturgeon who works nearby, said: "We heard a bang and looked out at the building site behind us and it was full of black smoke.

"I went outside and saw a plume of black smoke then another explosion with a massive fireball into the air and the shockwave rattled all the windows in our building."
Charles said the first explosion was "quieter" than the second, which was "massive". He added: "The smoke smelt like burning plastic and rubber."
The source of the fire has not been confirmed, though the fire service believes it was started accidently.
A spokesperson for CFRS said: "Crews attended a lorry that was on fire where large plumes of smoke could be seen over the M56. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets to put out the blaze.
"Crews have dampened down the area. The fire is believed to have started accidentally."
