Food and drink industry specialist in charity appointment

A Scottish food and drink industry specialist has been named as a new board member at a cancer charity.

Ceri Ritchie, manager for the sector at SAC Consulting which is part of Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC), has joined CLAN Cancer Support after volunteering with her local support branch in Stonehaven for the past three years.

Ricthie is also skills ambassador for the Food and Drink Federation Scotland.

Dr Colette Backwell, chief executive of CLAN Cancer Support, said:

“Despite a very busy life and pressured job, Ceri and the team in Stonehaven have organised fundraising activities as well as raised awareness of the important work done by CLAN across the north east.”

CLAN Cancer Support, based in Aberdeen, aims to support people to reduce anxiety, stress and to increase their ability to cope with the effects of a serious illness.
