Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday presented HybizTV awards to media personalities in the State at an upscale hotel in Hyderabad.
“Human interaction declined during COVID-19 pandemic due to fear but journalists continued their efforts under challenging circumstances. You did a stellar job,” said Mr. Rama Rao during a brief address after presenting a number of awards to mediapersons from all sections of the industry.
“Nowadays, social media is setting the agenda. But in this race for sensationalism and higher TRP, don’t forget facts. I have stopped following news as it is scary,” said Mr. Rama Rao asking journalists, to focus on positive news as well.
“Sometimes, the government also does good work. Write about that occasionally. When we slip up, write that as well. I request journalists to continue to work with facts to ensure reliability,” said Mr. Rao at the second edition of the awards.
