Flight attendant's handy tip so you never leave your passport at the hotel

A flight attendant has come up with a safe way to try to stop holidaymakers forgetting their passports.

The British Airways employee has recommended taking a shoe off and putting it in the hotel safe.

Safes, by their very nature, are nicely hidden away and discreet, which means they can sometimes be easy to forget, reports TheMirror.

Checking out of a hotel or holiday home can often be chaotic - no matter how organised you've tried to be and this means that it's sometimes easy to forget the valuables or documents you've squirrelled away.

So to avoid leaving these behind, the frequent flyer has come up with a great trick.

British Airways flight attendant Ty Opoku Adjei has revealed that passports left in the safe of a hotel room are more of a common occurrence than people realise, and shared her tip with Business Insider.

"My top tip is to keep one of your shoes you plan to wear on your journey home in the safe," she told the publication.

"If you do this, you'll never leave the hotel room without checking the safe ever again...as long as you don’t forget where you put your shoe, of course!"

So what do you reckon? Would this work, or would you just end up forgetting your shoe too?
