A new drama starts on ITV on Monday night which is set to have viewers hooked over four consecutive nights.
Just as t he start date for Liar series 2 has been confirmed, the brand new series will get going this week. According to ITV, Flesh and Blood is a modern story of three adult siblings, exploring universal themes of relationships, trust, loyalty and love against the backdrop of the build-up to, and aftermath of, a tragic crime. "The already dysfunctional lives of Helen, Jake and Natalie are thrown into disarray when their recently widowed mother Vivien declares she’s in love with a new man.
"Their suspicions are heightened as retired surgeon Mark sweeps their mother off her feet, shifting her priorities away from her children.
"Years of secrets, lies, rivalries and betrayals come to the surface and threaten to blow apart everything they’ve held dear. Then there's Mary, who has lived next door to Vivien for 40 years. Despite not being family, Mary appears overly attentive to Vivien and her family's unfolding drama.
"With their large family home, inheritance and happy childhood memories all at risk, the siblings attempt to find out more about Mark. But will their long-buried grudges, complex relationships and complicated personal lives allow them to pull together?"
Flesh and Blood will get going on ITV on Monday, February 24 and features a stellar cast.
It stars likes of Francesca Annis (Jane Eyre, Home Fires), Imelda Staunton, last seen on ITV in true crime drama A Confession, Stephen Rea (Michael Collins, V for Vendetta) and Russell Tovey, star of BBC's hit 2019 drama Years & Years.
The cast list for the four-part drama also includes Sharon Small (Trust Me), Lara Rossi (Cheat), Keir Charles (Love Actually), Vincent Regan (Victoria), David Bamber (Valkyrie), Stephanie Langton (Ransom) and Clara Indrani (Vera).
