Five-year-old boy died in road accident in Albania, inquest hears

A Nottingham inquest has heard that a five-year-old boy died as the result of a road accident in Albania.

Harry Nuzi died August 18 in Shëngjin, in the district of Lezhë, as the result of a road traffic accident according to a post-mortem.

Harry was identified by his mother, who lives in Nottingham.

Mr Gordon Clow, assistant coroner for Nottinghamshire, opened the inquest from Nottingham's Council House on Monday, September 20.

Mr Clow said: “A post-mortem has been carried out and a provisional cause of death is recorded as 1A multiple traumatic injury and at a 1B road traffic accident.

The assistant coroner said that even though the incident happened overseas, Harry was laid to rest in the area, meaning it was his “duty” to open an inquest into his death.

The hearing stands adjourned for completion of further enquiries to be resumed on a date to be fixed.

Mr Clow added: "I express my condolences, my very best wishes, to the parents over the death of Harry Nuzi at such a young age."
