Five things we learned as Man United train in Australia for first time

Wantaway star Paul Pogba trained with his Manchester United team-mates in Australia as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side got their pre-season tour under way.

Solskjaer's men arrived in Perth on Monday and went on a walkaround, where footage of a supposed argument between Pogba and Jesse Lingard caused ripples.

But the pair worked alongside one another as United's first session in Australia got under way at the WACA on Tuesday, when new boys Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James formed part of the group.

Romelu Lukaku also took part in training, with Inter Milan circling around a player that, much like Pogba, appears keen to leave Old Trafford.

Solskjaer has plenty of questions to answer regarding his squad when he faces the media for the first time in a press conference on Wednesday.

1) Pogba and Lingard patch things up

Shortly after touching down in Perth on Monday, United posted a clip on Twitter that seemed to show a spat between Pogba and Lingard.

It seems, though, that the pair were able to put their differences aside as United trained for the first time in Australia.

The pair have long enjoyed a strong bond as friends after previously being in the Red Devils' youth system together and it seems their brief falling out was just a minor blip.

2) Daniel James maintains impressive start to United career

New boy Daniel James looks to be making a good impression after his £18m switch from Swansea.

The Wales international topped United's initial pre-season fitness tests before heading out to Australia and he caught the eye again in Perth.

The 21-year-old show some good touches at the WACA and it looks like the Premier League giants have snapped up a hard-working youngster who is determined to succeed.

3) Aaron Wan-Bissaka comfortable in new surroundings

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is another summer signing for United having joined from Crystal Palace and he continues to look unfazed in his new surroundings.

The England U21 international threw himself into training in Perth and appeared sharp in a series of physical and technical drills.

There were certainly positive signs from the former Eagles man, who is set to make his first appearance in a Man Utd shirt against Perth Glory on Saturday.

4) Romleu Lukaku puts transfer speculation to one side

Like Pogba, Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, but he put that speculation behind him for training.

The 26-year-old is a rumoured target for both Inter Milan and Juventus , though neither of the Italian sides have yet to make a firm offer.

The Belgium forward, however, looked like his sole focus was on United as he joined in with his team-mates in a competitive workout in Perth.

5) Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's still got it

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have retired from professional football some 12 years ago, but his touch has not deserted him.

The 46-year-old played keepy-uppies with some other members of his coaching staff while his players trained and the Norwegian did not put a foot wrong.

With Lukaku possibly on his way out of Old Trafford, maybe Solskjaer was showing he could be the answer?
