Five arrests after disorder involving 'people with weapons' at Bristol leisure centre

Five arrests have been made after a serious incident at a leisure centre in Bristol.

One man was injured in a "disorder" involving "a number of people with weapons" at Hengrove Leisure Centre, police say.

The incident happened in the car park on Tuesday (September 15) and investigations are ongoing.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “At approximately 1.35pm we were called to reports of a disorder involving a number of people with weapons in the car park of Hengrove Leisure Centre.

“One man sustained an injury, which is believed to be minor.

"Five males, aged between 16 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of affray.

"Three have been released under investigation and two have been released without charge.

"Enquiries are continuing.

"Anyone with information about the incident should call 101 and give reference 5220209697."
