Leeds United supporters have been reacting to Diego Llorente officially signing for the club on a four-year deal.
Llorente has joined from Sociedad for an undisclosed fee, with his contract running until the summer of 2024.
The 27-year-old started his career at Real Madrid, before spells at Rayo Vallecano and Malaga led him to a Sociedad move.
Leeds were very short in the centre-back department after missing out on the permanent signing of last season’s loanee, Ben White.
White went back to Brighton & Hove Albion and signed a new four-year contract with the Seagulls following his tremendous season in the Championship with Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The Whites supporters have been reacting to the club announcing the signing of Llorente, and the comments all seem very positive.
A few fans, although pleased with the latest addition, couldn’t resist mentioning reported target Rodrigo De Paul.
The Udinese midfielder has been a target of Leeds’ all summer-long, but with less than two weeks left of the window, the Whites face a race against time to sign the highly-rated Argentine.
With the signing of Llorente, Bielsa now has Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, Robin Koch and the Spaniard to choose from in the centre of defence.
