First picture of man stabbed to death in Nunhead with killer still at large

A man stabbed to death in Nunhead, southeast London, has been named by police as 26-year-old Rohan Trotman.

Scotland Yard on Monday released the first image of the victim, whose killer remains at large more than a week on from the fatal knife attack.

Police rushed to Nunhead Green at roughly 9.20pm on Sunday, June 25, following reports of a stabbing near a children’s playground.

The victim had already been taken to hospital by a member of the public.

Despite the efforts of medics, he died in hospital at 9.30am the next day. Nobody has been arrested.

Naming the victim on Monday as Mr Trotman, police said his family is “devastated” by their loss, and continued to urge anyone with information to come forward.

Police previously said they understood the victim’s e-bike was stolen in the attack.

Scotland Yard says Mr Trotman’s loved ones are being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said: “Rohan’s family and friends have been left devastated by his death.

“I know there are people in the community who have information about the circumstances in which he suffered the fatal stab wounds.

“If they have not already done so, I would urge them to contact police.

“I also continue to appeal to anyone who was in the area of Nunhead Green at around 9.20pm on Sunday, June 25, who saw any of this incident to get in touch. You may have information that could prove vital to this investigation.”
