First Glasgow to operate increased bus services from Monday

First Glasgow have confirmed that they will operate increased services on bus routes in the city as of Monday (June 29).

The services have been increased to reflect an uplift in people travelling as the Scottish Government continues to ease the lockdown, First Glasgow said.

And to also support the Scottish Government’s physical distancing guidance for customers who need to use public transport.

On Monday of this week, face coverings were made compulsory on public transport in the city and across Scotland - with exemptions in place for children under five and people with certain medical conditions.

At the end of last month, First Glasgow slashed capacity on their buses in the city in a bid to keep passengers and drivers safe.
