Grand National first stylish arrivals at Aintree on Ladies Day
Ladies Day at Aintree has returned, with people arriving at Aintree racecourse for the second day of Grand National Festival 2022.
There have been many stylish arrivals with many fashion trends starting to appear. From bold headdresses to fabulous suits, racegoers are looking fabulous for today's event.
Ladies Day also sees the return of the Style Awards, where the best dressed racegoer will win £5,000 in cash, a £500 Never FullY Dressed/£300 House of Cavani voucher, spa break and more.

Person hit by bus at Liverpool One Bus Station
A pedestrian was hit by a bus at the entrance to Liverpool One Bus Station.
Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service attended the scene after reports of a collision between a man in his 50s and a bus at the entrance to the bus station shortly after 9am on Friday, April 8. Traffic was blocked on Price Street and redirected it along Paradise Street as they dealt with the incident.
Buses were still operating from the bus station while emergency services were at the scene. The ambulance and police vehicle left the scene shortly after 10am.

Stabbing victim in hospital as police arrest man
A man remains in hospital after being stabbed in the back and bicep in Southport.
Emergency services were called to West Street at around 9pm on Thursday, April 7 after reports of an assault. A man who had been stabbed was found at the scene near the junction of Coronation Walk.
A Merseyside police spokesperson confirmed a man had been arrested in connection with the stabbing. They said: "We have arrested a 37 year-old man on suspicion of S18 assault and he is currently in custody."
