"The fire has been brought under control but appliances will be remaining at scene carrying out damping down."

The damping down process can take some time if the fire has been a large one and firefighters will need to ensure the blaze is in no danger of reigniting.

Later, at 7:13am they tweeted: 'Crews remain in attendance at Amble Industrial Estate. There is minimal smoke in the area. It is anticipated crews will remain at scene for the next 2-3 hours.'
