Firefighters were battling through the night after a fire broke out in Mansfield town centre. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue was called at 11.15pm on Tuesday, March 14, to the blaze above the Frank Innes estate agents in Market Street.
On arrival, crews encountered a significant fire across four floors and the basement and have been working to extinguish the blaze throughout the night. Eight fire engines were in attendance at the height of the incident, with London Road's aerial ladder platform (ALP), command support vehicle and welfare unit.
Crews from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service assisted their Nottinghamshire colleagues. Firefighters remain on the scene this morning (March 15) as they dampen down the building and monitor it for any hidden fire spread.

The area will remain closed as a joint fire and police investigation into the cause takes place later today. No injuries have been reported.
The pictures from the scene showed firefighters using a hose to spray water towards a room fully ablaze above the Frank Innes Sales and Letting Agents on Market Street.
