SAMUT PRAKAN -- A warehouse in Muang district was hit by a fire that broke out early Sunday, causing about 300,000 baht damage. Nobody was hurt.
Pol Capt Prateep Pakdisri, a duty officer of Muang police station, said the fire started at about 2.30am inside a warehouse belonging to Asia Masterprint Co in Soi Sap Boonchai 39 on Srinakharin Road in tambon Bang Muang.
The warehouse, which stored cardboard boxes and aluminium and foil sheets, is located in the same compound as a two-storey house.
Five fire trucks were despatched to the scene and were able to put out the fire in about one hour. The materials stored in the warehouse were all destroyed, causing about 300,000 baht damage. Nobody was inside the building when the fire broke out.
Police were seeking to determine the cause of the fire.
