Fire crews have raced to tackle a house blaze in Motherwell this evening.
Firefighters were called to Corrie Drive in the Lanarkshire town at 7.56pm where a house is on fire.
They are still at the scene battling the blaze having sent four engines to fight the flames.
A video circulating on social media appears to show flames leaping from the windows of a house on the street.
Worried locals online have described the blaze as 'horrendous'.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: "We are still in attendance just now.
"The call came in at 7.56pm to an address in Corrie Drive.
"We have got four appliances in attendance just now."
They later added at 10.30pm: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 7.56pm on Thursday, 5 November to reports of a fire within a semi-detached, two-storey house in Corrie Road, Motherwell.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised four fire engines to the scene.
"Three fire engines and crews currently remain in attendance.”
