ACT Fire and Rescue were called to the scene of a car fire reported outside Westfield Belconnen on Friday evening, July 3.
The fire, reported about 5.40pm, involved a vehicle parked on Benjamin Way near the shopping centre.
An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesman said firefighters arrived about 5.45pm to find the vehicle fully alight and were working to extinguish the fire until about 6pm.
There were no reports of injuries, threats to life or other property in the area, the spokesman told this masthead.
It's understood the vehicle involved in the fire was a BMW X5.
Footage of the blaze captured by passers-by showed significant smoke in the area.
