Firefighters were called to a blaze at the Woden Hotel on Tuesday morning
The fire, at the hotel on the corner of Melrose Drive and Launceston Street in Phillip, started just after 5.15am on Tuesday.
Multiple fire crews were called to the scene with police officers and ambulance crews also attending. Launceston Street has been closed to traffic and people are being advised to avoid the area.
Crews extinguished the blaze after 6am but remain on the scene inspecting the building for damage.
No one was inside the hotel at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
