@E4Tweets posted yesterday: "Sadly we’re still experiencing some tech issues which means some viewers may have problems watching our channels or access services. Sorry for the ongoing disruption – we’ll let you know here as and when we have updates."

Viewers of channel 5 will also of experienced difficulties on Saturday night.

The issue was believed to have been caused by a fire alert at White City, where independent studios and production companies work and transmit their programmes.

A statement released at the time said: “Due to a recent incident in one of our broadcast centres, we are continuing to experience disruption to some of our services. As a result, you may experience some interruption to our Live TV service on All 4.

“We apologise for this disruption to your All 4 service. Our teams are working hard to restore it as soon as possible.

“The rest of our Catch Up and On Demand service is unaffected.”

Many viewers who took to Twitter seemed to be upset about missing Married At First Sight.

The final week for the remaining couples kicked off Monday evening, with the pairs deciding what the future holds for them following the experiment.

But unfortunately, as part of ongoing technical issues the reality show’s drama was absent from All 4, while it aired live on E4.

One person said: “S**t getting real now. Sod the #PetrolCrisis if MAFS ain’t on, it really is [the] apocalypse.”

Another said: “I have worked for 13 hours solid don't need my one hour of relax ruined.”

A third missed the memo and asked: “What the hell is going on with All4? I’m missing #MAFSUK live”

While a fourth said: “So my @All4 won't work, and now @E4Tweets +1 won't work, give up trying to catch up on #MAFSUK I'm gonna Cyclone-Cyrell the tv in a minute.”
