Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic link and more Manchester City transfer rumours

Manchester City have been linked with one of the most exciting prospects in Europe in Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic.

The 21-year-old Serbian has scored 25 goals in his last 42 games in Serie A and would provide City with a real presence up top standing at 6'3.

Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport have reported of City’s ‘dream’ of acquiring the prolific Fiorentina striker.

They state that Fiorentina's president Rocco Commisso is ‘angry’ with Darko Ristic - the agent of Vlahovic - as the club have been attempting to tie down the Serbian striker’s future for 'months.'

However, an agreement to prolong Vlahovic's stay in Florence is yet to materialise, despite speculation from across Italy suggesting that a new deal could be struck alongside a €70/80 million release clause.

Commisso said at an event in Florence: "I don't know if he'll sign but we're calm.

"We've been working on it for months, one day we're positive and the next less so. Overall though I'm neither positive nor negative.

"I talk to Dusan and he tells me he's only focused on the pitch and I should take to his agents, then I talk to his agents and they tell me I have to talk to the player."

Elsewhere, Wolves and Mexico striker Raul Jimenez has attracted a host of admirers, including Manchester City.

Despite him missing a year through a horrific head injury, Jimenez is now back amongst the goals, which begins to explain why he is once again so sought after.

Juventus have been previously linked with the striker, but Tuttomercatoweb reports the Italian giants will face competition from City for Jimenez. The 30-year-old still has plenty to offer and consistently plays at a high level in England's top flight.

Finally, City are also said to be monitoring Ajax star Antony.

The 21-year-old winger has scored 11 goals in 37 games with Ajax since joining from Sao Paulo last summer.

Catalan outlet El Nacional have reported that City have 'taken a real interest' in the Brazilian.
